Day 22 (Nov 22): Today I am thankful for my sense of taste. I love to eat and my taste buds help me enjoy every flavor of all the foods I enjoy to eat! And since tomorrow I am going to a Chocolate Factory to make my own chocolates, today is a good day to be thankful for my taste buds!!! I absolutely love chocolate, my taste buds will definitely be jumping for joy tomorrow evening 🙂 Happy Friday everyone!
Day 21 (Nov 21): Today I am thankful for my sense of touch. I am thankful that I can feel all the different textures in the world around me.
Day 20 (Nov 20): Today I am thankful for my sense of smell. That I am able to take in all the wonderful scents around me and yes I am thankful for the bad smelling ones too :-! Some people don’t have the chance to smell at all.
Day 19 (Nov 19): Today I am thankful that I have ears to hear. I have very good hearing and my friends tell me I have bionic hearing. LOL For that I am thankful today.
Today has been a day of using up a few things in my refrigerator. Earlier I made muffins with leftover coconut milk and tonight the ingredient of choice was sourcream. I thought to myself Stroganoff would be good, but all I have is ground beef. I dont have the typical beef tips to use for this dish. So thanks to Google, I just typed in recipes with sourcream and groundbeef and I checked a few them out until I came upon one particular one that was really easy. All I needed to buy was some egg noodles. Technically, I didn’t have to, I could have made due with rice, but what’s stroganoff without egg noodles right?? So, I’m following the recipe and then I got a brilliant idea!!! Red wine would make this dish fabulous and give it the finishing touch it needs to be even more delish!! I go in my pantry throw in some red wine, voila, perfection!! Besides, everyone knows alcohol makes everything more yummy!! Lol
Here is the recipe and if you are going to try it I would definitely add the red wine 🙂
Today I had an urge to bake something. I had a can of opened coconut milk in the refrigerator and decided to whip something up using that. So I googled recipes using coconut milk and I stumbled upon a recipe that looked pretty good. The recipe is for Coconut Chocolate Chip Muffins. This particular recipe called for regular milk but since I had the coconut milk that I needed to use up that was an easy substitute. I had everything laying around the pantry, so it was very easy to make these. I love coconut and I love chocolate!!! One of my favorite candy bars is almond joy, so I’m hoping these remind me of one when I bite into them!!! I couldn’t resist the batter and yes I did lick the bowl and the spoon clean!! It tasted very yummy!!! Mine are baking now and should be out soon 🙂
Here is the recipe, if you guys like coconut and chocolate as much as I do I hope you will give these a try.
Day 18 (Nov 18): This week I’m going to be thankful for my 5 senses. Everyday for the next 5 days I will post a sense I am thankful for.
Today, lets start with sight. I am thankful that I have eyes to see, maybe with a little help from contacts, but I can see!! Lol
